Kenworth Names 2016 PACCAR MX Engine Council
Kenworth Truck Company has named its 2016 Kenworth PACCAR MX Engine Council.
Leading service managers and directors at Kenworth dealerships in the United States and Canada serve on the council, which assists the company in developing guidelines for service improvements to enhance support for the PACCAR MX-11 and MX-13 engines. The council is led by Dave Laird, president of Papé Kenworth, the Kenworth Dealer of the Year and Kenworth PACCAR MX Engine Dealer of the Year for 2015.
“The council enables us to learn more about PACCAR engines and to share our experiences and best practices. Since its introduction, the PACCAR MX-13 has become a popular choice among customers because of its reliability and durability, lightweight design, low cost of ownership, and quiet operation. We expect the new PACCAR MX-11 will also quickly become a popular choice for Kenworth customers,” Laird said.
The other members of the council are: Mike D’Agostini, engine technical support manager, NorCal Kenworth (Sacramento, Calif.); Matt Allen, director of service operations, for Inland Kenworth – U.S. (Fontana, Calif.); Jeff Minter, service director, Wisconsin Kenworth (Madison, Wis.), a division of CSM Companies; Terry Stalter, service manager with Central Illinois Trucks, (Normal, Ill.); and Zach Newton, service manager, MHC Kenworth (Kansas City, Mo.).

The 10.8-liter PACCAR MX-11 engine is 400 pounds lighter than 13-liter engines for enhanced payload capacity and has ample low-end power for applications requiring 430 hp or less.
