Kenworth K270 Cabover Featured at The Work Truck Show, To Make First Trade Show Appearance Since Introduction

Kenworth Also To Host Heavy and Medium Duty Chassis Update

The new Kenworth K270 class 6 cabover will make its first trade show appearance since its introduction when it is featured at The Work Truck Show March 6-8 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. The annual show is sponsored by the National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA).

The Kenworth K270 cabover will be shown with a concept aerodynamic van body. "It's exciting to bring Kenworth quality to the cabover market and spotlight the new K270 cabover at The Work Truck Show," said Doug Powell, Kenworth medium duty marketing manager. "We also offer the new K370 class 7 cabover. Both vehicles provide customers with excellent maneuverability, ease of service, durability, exceptional visibility, and styling."

Kenworth K270 and K370 applications include pick-up and delivery, lease/rental, towing/recovery, landscaping, furniture, and food processing and distribution that require a highly maneuverable truck with 18- to 26-foot van body size, stake bed, or roll-on/roll-off bed. The 63.4-inch BBC (front bumper to back of the cab) on the K270 and K370 provides a 55-degree wheel cut.

Kenworth and PACCAR Financial are offering a special, limited time program where qualifying customers may do a monthly lease on a K270 for $919 or on a K370 for $935 - which includes a dry van body - and receive a 2-year /200,000 mile basic vehicle extended warranty. During The Work Truck Show, Powell will present a "Kenworth Chassis Update" on Kenworth's heavy and medium duty trucks in Room 236 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7. He will provide the most up-to-date product and technical information on medium and heavy duty chassis specifications and issues that can affect the installation of bodies and equipment. Participants will gain insights into vocation-specific existing and new options to help optimize body and equipment installation and designs.

A Kenworth T370 diesel-electric hybrid tractor will be available at The Work Truck Show for test drives during the "Green Truck Ride-and-Drive" from noon to 4:30 p.m. on both Tuesday, March 6 and Wednesday, March 7. Kenworth will also display a Kenworth T270 roll-on/roll-off tow vehicle, Kenworth T370 with service body, and a Kenworth T440 natural gas-powered refuse loader/packer in its booth (No. 3039) at The Work Truck Show.
