Kenworth K270 and K370 Cabover Brochure Now Available
New Medium Duty Cabovers Offer Kenworth Quality, Excellent Maneuverability and Durability
Kenworth has produced a brochure on its new Kenworth K270 Class 6 and K370 Class 7 cabovers.
Applications for the Kenworth K270 and K370 include pick-up and delivery, lease/rental, towing/recovery, landscaping, furniture, food processing and distribution that require a highly maneuverable truck with 16- to 28-foot van body size, stake bed, or roll-on/roll-off car carrier bed, to name a few.
The six-page Kenworth K270 and K370 Cabover Brochure provides comprehensive product information, including detailed specifications for the engine, engine equipment, gross axle weight rating (GAWR), suspensions, wheels/tire/brakes, frame, cab, electrical system, paint and options.
Also shown are K270 and K370 dimensions for cab to axle, axle to end of frame, wheelbase, truck length and box length when specified with either a 19.5-inch or 22.5-inch tire and wheel package. The new 22.5-inch package enables the K270 and K370 to match up to standard dock heights at pickup and delivery locations in several applications.
The K270 and K370 are built on North American-based chassis very similar to that of the rugged Kenworth T270 and Kenworth T370 conventionals, respectively. Both the K270 and K370 cabovers are standard with the 6.7-liter PACCAR PX-6 engine rated at 220 hp and 520 lb-ft of torque. Optional ratings are 240 hp and 560 lb-ft of torque, and 250 hp with 660 lb-ft. Both models also feature Allison Automatic transmissions as standard equipment. The 63.4-inch BBC (front bumper to back of the cab) provides a 55-degree wheel cut for excellent maneuverability.
The K270 and K370 have a spacious, wide cab to easily accommodate up to three people with a driver air-suspended seat and two-person bench seat. It also comes standard with rear outboard mounted cab suspension to further enhance ride quality and driver comfort. The dash includes a master display information module with data on fuel consumption, service inspections, outside air temperature, coolant temperature, oil level, DEF level, and trip information.
