2023 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree Lighting CeremonyThe U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony took place on November 28, 2023.
Werner Enterprises drivers, Tim Dean and Jesus Davila, transported the 2023 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree in a Kenworth T680 Signature Edition from its harvest site in West Virginia to the U.S. Capitol during a 15-day tour that included 19 tour stops in communities along the way.
Werner Enterprises husband-and-wife team, Gina and Steve Jones, assisted with transporting small Christmas trees and tree ornaments to Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. The Jones’ currently drive a military-themed wrapped Kenworth T680 Signature Edition.

This year’s tree was a 63-foot Norway Spruce from the Monongahela National Forest in West Virginia.
