Papé Kenworth Honored with Prestigious 2019 Kenworth Dealer of the Year Award

Kenworth Recognizes Leading Dealers for 2019 Achievements, Customer Support Efforts To Maximize Uptime

Papé Kenworth received the prestigious 2019 Kenworth Dealer of the Year Award for the United States and Canada at the annual Kenworth Dealer Meeting held recently in Santa Barbara, Calif. It marks the second time in five years that Papé Kenworth was chosen for the coveted award.

“Papé Kenworth’s success is driven by great Kenworth heavy and medium duty trucks and our employees’ daily, determined focus to take excellent care of customers in our new truck, parts and service operations in Oregon, California, Washington and Alaska dealerships,” said Dave Laird, Papé Kenworth president. “This prestigious award offers a tremendous source of pride for Papé Kenworth and our employees. Papé Kenworth received the 2019 Kenworth Dealer of the Year Award at the annual Kenworth Dealer Meeting in Santa Barbara, Calif.. Their knowledgeable, well-trained employees possess a strong dedication to serve customers and provide the highest of service excellence. Congratulations to The World’s Best Dealer for 2019.”

Over the past decade, Papé Kenworth has now been named Kenworth Dealer of the Year twice, received five Gold and five Silver awards, and earned PACCAR Engines Dealer of the Year and TRP Dealer of the Year.

Kenworth also presented eight Gold and seven Silver dealer awards, as well as PACCAR Engines, Medium Duty, Parts and Service, and TRP Dealer of the Year awards.

Kenworth Gold Awards

Papé Kenworth was selected as Kenworth Dealer of the Year from among Kenworth’s eight Gold Award winners for 2019. Other Gold Award winners are Kenworth Maska, Kenworth Montréal, Kenworth of Cincinnati, Kenworth Sales Company – Salt Lake City, MHC Kenworth – Kansas City, MHC Kenworth – Springfield, and MHC Kenworth – Tennessee. The Gold Award is presented to a select number of Kenworth dealers each year that achieve the highest level of performance in the Kenworth network.

Kenworth Maska had strong heavy duty (23 percent) and medium duty (31 percent) share and excellent PACCAR MX engine mix percentage. The dealer made the 2019 Kenworth Dealer Top Ten rankings six times, including parts retail sales growth percentage, PACCAR MX-13 engine parts growth, customer satisfaction, and service bay coverage. In the past decade, Kenworth Maska earned 2018 Kenworth Dealer of the Year, PACCAR Engines Dealer of the Year, and three Gold and four Silver awards.

Kenworth Montréal has now earned three Gold and four Silver awards in the past decade. In 2019, the dealer achieved solid heavy duty (21 percent) and medium duty (18 percent) share. Kenworth Montréal ranked high in parts retail availability percentage, TRP sales growth percentage, customer satisfaction, PACCAR MX engine technician certification, and parts fleet sales growth percentage.

Kenworth of Cincinnati earned its first Kenworth gold award, and finished with impressive heavy duty (29 percent) and medium duty (16 percent) share. The dealer earned recognition on several “Top Ten” lists, including percentage of PACCAR MX engine technician certifications, and heavy duty categories on market share and quota achievement.

Kenworth Sales Company – Salt Lake City had solid heavy duty (23 percent) and medium duty (17 percent) share in 2019. The gold winner made more appearances in the Top 10 rankings than any other dealer. These included key customer uptime metrics, such as customer satisfaction, overall facility score, facility investment dollars, parts operations, service bay coverage, and parts retail availability.

MHC Kenworth – Kansas City has now received six Gold and four Silver awards over the past decade, in addition to overall Kenworth Dealer of the Year, and Dealer of the Year for PACCAR Engines and Medium Duty. The dealer had outstanding heavy duty share (42 percent), and ranked high in investments, facilities excellence, new medium duty truck sales, and percentage of certified PACCAR MX engine technicians.
MHC Kenworth – Springfield finished 2019 with excellent heavy duty and medium duty share, helped maximize customer uptime with significantly surpassing its quota goals in service bay capacity, mobile service capacity and parts availability. The dealer made several Top Ten rankings, including call center response and facilities.

Kenworth Silver Awards

During the Kenworth Dealer Meeting, Kenworth also recognized its seven Silver Award winners:

Lower Great Lakes Kenworth, MHC Kenworth – Colorado, MHC Kenworth – Georgia, MHC Kenworth – Oklahoma, Motor Power Kenworth – Billings, Truckworx Kenworth – Jackson, and Wichita Kenworth.

Kenworth PACCAR Engines Dealer of the Year

MHC Kenworth – Oklahoma received Kenworth’s PACCAR Engines Dealer of the Year honors for the second consecutive year. The dealer sold a large number of PACCAR MX-powered trucks, and achieved an impressive 68 percent in PACCAR MX engine share mix. Notable Top 10 appearances also included heavy duty units retailed and call center response. Highly trained PACCAR MX technicians and 24/7 mobile service units aided customer uptime.

Kenworth Medium Duty Dealer of the Year

MHC Kenworth – Colorado was named Kenworth Medium Duty Dealer of the Year. The award winner sold Kenworth medium duty trucks to a diverse customer base, including towing, construction, city government, utility, petroleum, landscaping and grocery. The dealer achieved impressive medium duty share (22 percent) and sales quota results, and consistently stocked medium duty trucks at its full-service locations.

Kenworth Parts and Service Dealer of the Year

Kenworth Sales Company – Salt Lake City captured the Kenworth Parts and Service Dealer of the Year award with performances at or near the top of every major parts category The dealer posted significant increases in retail, PACCAR Parts and TRP sales; and grew business through the PACCAR fleet services program by an impressive 29 percent. Kenworth Sales Company facilities and operations scores were in the Top 5 of all Kenworth dealers.

Kenworth TRP All-Makes Dealer of the Year

Truckworx Kenworth significantly increased its TRP sales, overall parts purchases and retail sales in 2019 to help earn Kenworth TRP All-Makes Dealer of the Year honors. The dealer’s focus on uptime provided customers with outstanding retail parts availability. Truckworx Kenworth continued to leverage new technology to nearly double online parts counter sales to enhance customer support and increase retail sales.

Kenworth also celebrated significant Kenworth dealer anniversary milestones reached in 2019: 70 years – Rihm Kenworth (South St. Paul, Minnesota); 50 years – Wallwork Kenworth (Fargo, North Dakota); 45 years – MHC Kenworth (Leawood, Kansas); 35 years – TransPower Kenworth (Albany, Georgia); 30 years – Delmarva Kenworth (Dover, Delaware) and Sioux Falls Kenworth (Sioux Falls, South Dakota).
