MHC Kenworth – Colorado Receives 2017 Kenworth Dealer of the Year Award

MHC Kenworth – Colorado received the prestigious 2017 Kenworth Dealer of the Year Award for the United States and Canada at the annual Kenworth Dealer Meeting held recently in Scottsdale, Arizona.

“It is a great honor for MHC Kenworth – Colorado to receive Dealer of the Year award for the seventh time,” said Mike Murphy, CEO of MHC Kenworth, which operates 68 Kenworth dealerships in 16 states. “This award was earned by our dedicated employees, who are committed to providing Whatever It Takes® support in every facet of our business. We appreciate this award and thank our customers for their continued business.”

The six MHC Kenworth – Colorado dealerships (Denver, Colorado Springs, Grand Junction, Greeley, and Pueblo, Colorado, and Cheyenne, Wyoming) each have achieved the prestigious Kenworth PremierCare® Gold Certified status as a result of their customer support efforts.

“MHC Kenworth – Colorado earned the 2017 Kenworth Dealer of the Year Award as a result of their exceptional and strong results across all categories of our dealer excellence program,” said Mike Dozier, Kenworth general manager and PACCAR vice president. “The dealer retailed 1,052 new Kenworth trucks, ranked high in technician engine certifications, supported customers with Kenworth TruckTech+ Remote Diagnostics and Service Management, and led the way in Kenworth PremierCare Gold Certified locations, including 80/8 extended weekday and weekend hours. MHC Kenworth – Colorado also provided excellent TRP parts and engine parts availability, delivered outstanding call center response, and expanded its PacLease fleet. Congratulations to The World’s Best® Kenworth dealer in 2017.”

Kenworth also presented Gold and Silver dealer awards, as well as PACCAR MX Engine, Medium Duty, Parts and Service, and TRP Dealer of the Year awards.

Kenworth Gold Awards

MHC Kenworth – Colorado was selected as Kenworth Dealer of the Year from among Kenworth’s seven Gold Award winners for 2017. Other Gold Award winners are Kenworth Maska, Kenworth Montréal, MHC Kenworth – Georgia, MHC Kenworth – Oklahoma, MHC Kenworth – Texas, and Wisconsin Kenworth. The Gold Award is presented to a select number of Kenworth dealers each year that achieve the highest level of performance in the Kenworth network.

MHC Kenworth – Georgia earned its second Gold award as it retailed 1,921 new Kenworth trucks, achieved excellent heavy duty truck market share, and led in growth of PACCAR MX engine parts. The dealer also had strong performance in both PACCAR MX engines sold, hours of service, and call center response.

MHC Kenworth – Oklahoma earned its second Gold award to go with six Silver awards in the past decade. In 2017, the dealer retailed 1,244 new Kenworth trucks. All of its locations have earned Kenworth PremierCare Gold certification. The dealer made 12 appearances in the Top Ten, including call center response, PACCAR MX engine mix, PacLease growth and two TRP lists. 

MHC Kenworth – Texas retailed nearly 1,900 new Kenworth trucks and delivered excellent heavy duty market share in 2017. The dealer earned 14 appearances in the Kenworth Dealer Top Ten lists, including percent of Kenworth PremierCare® Gold locations, customer satisfaction, call center response, PACCAR MX engines sold, and dealer excellence parts operations. 

Kenworth Maska captured its first Gold Award. The dealership retailed 350 new Kenworth trucks, which delivered excellent heavy duty market share results, excelled in service bay coverage, overall facilities score, and percent of both PACCAR MX engine certified technicians and PACCAR MX units sold.

Kenworth Montréal earned its second Gold award with sales of 443 new Kenworth trucks, impressive medium duty and PACCAR Financial retail share, and Kenworth PremierCare Gold certified stores. The dealer made the Kenworth Dealer Top Ten list in nine categories, including growth of TRP purchases and parts retail sales, as well as PACCAR MX engine mix.

Wisconsin Kenworth now has earned six Gold awards, and two Kenworth Dealer of the Year awards, in the past decade. The dealer retailed 1,555 new Kenworth trucks, finished 2017 with a 22 percent heavy duty market share, and had six full service locations recognized as Kenworth PremierCare Gold Certified. The dealer earned 11 Top Ten spots, including percent of PACCAR Financial heavy duty share, TRP purchase growth, and the top position in PACCAR MX engines sold.

Kenworth Silver Awards

During the Kenworth Dealer Meeting, Kenworth also recognized its 12 Silver Award winners:

United States – Kenworth of South Texas, Kenworth Sales Company, MHC Kenworth – Iowa, MHC Kenworth – Kansas City, MHC Kenworth – North Carolina, MHC Kenworth – Springfield, MHC Kenworth – Tennessee, Papé Kenworth, Rihm Kenworth, and Truckworx Kenworth – Birmingham; and Canada – GreatWest Kenworth and Kenworth Québec.

Kenworth PACCAR MX Engine Dealer of the Year

Kenworth Maska received Kenworth’s PACCAR MX Engine Dealer of the Year honors. The award honors the Kenworth dealer that fully engages customers, sells all the benefits of PACCAR MX engines, and truly meets each customer’s service needs. The dealer made the Kenworth Dealer Top 10 with the sale of 220 PACCAR MX-powered Kenworth trucks, and percent of PACCAR MX engine certified technicians.

Kenworth Medium Duty Dealer of the Year

MHC Kenworth – Kansas City was named Kenworth Medium Duty Dealer of the Year for the fourth time in 12 years. The award recognizes outstanding leadership and dealership focus on growing sales of Kenworth’s comprehensive medium duty truck line-up. The dealer retailed 672 medium duty trucks to a diverse base of unique customers representing a wide range of applications, including utility trucks, petroleum haulers, beverage, farming, medical equipment, lumber, asphalt, plumbing, and the community food bank. Outstanding efforts by dealers, such as MHC Kenworth – Kansas City, powered Kenworth to a record 9.3 percent medium duty market share in the United States and Canada in 2017.

Kenworth Parts and Service Dealer of the Year

MHC Kenworth – Oklahoma earned the Kenworth Parts and Service Dealer of the Year award by ranking near the top in every performance category, including parts and service excellence, Kenworth PremierCare Gold affiliations, facilities, parts purchases, call center acceptance, and customer satisfaction. The dealer embraced all the PACCAR Parts fleet services, retail and product programs, and recorded strong growth in all categories.

Kenworth TRP All-Makes Dealer of the Year

Kenworth of Louisiana significantly increased TRP sales by 38 percent and overall parts purchases by 18 percent in 2017 to help earn the Kenworth TRP All-Makes Dealer of the Year award. The award recognizes the Kenworth dealer that provides the best support for TRP parts and service. The dealer’s dedicated parts sales staff at its locations regularly introduced the TRP line to new customers and recommended it to existing ones.

Kenworth Dealer Major Anniversaries

Kenworth also celebrated significant Kenworth dealer anniversary milestones reached in 2017:
60 years – Inland Kenworth (Burnaby, British Columbia); 35 years – Edmonton Kenworth (Edmonton, Alberta) and Kenworth of Central Florida (Orlando, Florida); and 30 years – Motor Power Kenworth (Billings, Montana). Inland Kenworth joins Kenworth Sales Company and Rihm Kenworth as the only three Kenworth dealers with 60 or more years of service to Kenworth Truck Company. Kenworth now has more than 400 dealer locations in the United States and Canada.
