CIM Auction Set for Jan. 24 at 2018 World of Concrete

A Kenworth T880S bridge formula mixer chassis will be auctioned at the 12th annual Concrete Industry Management (CIM) program auction Jan. 24 at the World of Concrete Show in Las Vegas. Proceeds will support CIM’s educational programs, and help fund scholarships for students pursuing a four-year Bachelor of Science degree in Concrete Industry Management at Middle Tennessee State University, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Texas State University and California State University – Chico.

The Kenworth T880S with set-forward front axle is the go-to configuration for mixer customers that need to comply with federal bridge formulas. The T880S features a PACCAR MX-11 engine rated at 430-hp and 1,650 lb-ft of torque and a BridgeKing® 11-cubic yard mixer with a high performance drum provided by Con-Tech Manufacturing. Other contributing supplier sponsors of equipment for the T880S are Meritor (axles), Hendrickson (rear suspension), Watson & Chalin (lift axle), Alcoa (wheels), Bridgestone (tires), and Allison Transmission (transmission). The truck was provided by Kenworth and Kenworth of Central Florida – Orlando.

“CIM’s auction at the 2018 World of Concrete is focused on supporting the development of future leaders in the concrete industry. The donation of the Kenworth T880S is an excellent way for Kenworth, Con-Tech Manufacturing, Kenworth of Central Florida, and our other valued supplier partners to support this important effort on behalf of education,” said Kurt Swihart, Kenworth marketing director.

The Kenworth T880S with the Con-Tech Manufacturing BridgeKing Mixer Package will be auctioned between 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, at the live auction in North Hall Room N262 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
